Fjorgynn

Fjorgynn is a relatively obscure figure in Norse mythology, primarily mentioned in snippets of poetic and scholarly sources. He is considered a Jötunn (giant) and is sometimes referred to as a god or a divine being due to his familial connections. Fjorgynn is commonly identified as the father of Freyr and Freyja, two prominent gods associated with fertility, prosperity, and love, making him an important ancestral figure in the Vanir family of deities.
However, direct references to Fjorgynn’s characteristics, myths, or stories are scarce. Most of what is known about him comes from genealogical listings rather than detailed narratives, highlighting his role primarily as an ancestral or progenitor figure within Norse cosmology.
