Skrymir

In Norse mythology, Skrymir (also spelled Skrymrir) is not considered a god but rather a giant (jotunn). He is a prominent figure in the tales involving Thor and the other gods. Skrymir is known for his enormous size and strength, and he appears in the story where Thor and his companions encounter him during their journey to the land of the giants (Jotunheim).
In the myth, Skrymir is encountered sleeping in a forest, and Thor and his party decide to rest in his hut. Skrymir is notable for his playful and mischievous behavior, as he tricks the gods into trying to remove his enormous glove and later tests their strength. He ultimately reveals himself as a giant and challenges Thor to various contests of strength and wit.
Skrymir’s character is more of a giant figure rather than a divine being, embodying the formidable and sometimes treacherous nature of the giants in Norse myth.
