Angrboda

Overview
Angrboda, goddess in Norse mythology, is a major figure recognized as a giantess (jotunn) and the mother of three significant beings: Fenrir (the wolf), Jormungandr (the Midgard Serpent), and Hel (the goddess of the underworld). She is often associated with chaos and the darker aspects of nature, reflecting her monstrous offspring.
Angrboda lives in a place called Iron Forest located in Jotunheim, the realm of the giants, and is considered a consort of the trickster god Loki. Their union resulted in the birth of their three infamous children, who each play vital roles in the myths surrounding Ragnarok, the end of the world in Norse cosmology.
Angrboda represents the chaotic forces of nature and the fears associated with the unknown, particularly in relation to her children.
Angrboda herself does not have extensive mythology tales dedicated to her. However, her character is very important considering her children and symbolizes the powerful and sometimes feared nature of the giants in Norse lore, as well as the complex relationships between gods and giants. She embodies themes of motherhood, darkness, and the inherent duality of creation and destruction within Norse mythology.
