NorsePath back to work

NorsePath is back. After a long pause, we’re picking the project up again, and this post tells you what we’re working on first: the pages that are already on the site, starting with the gods and the runes.

Why we went quiet

For personal reasons, NorsePath sat on pause for a long time.

Over that time, though, different people kept showing interest in the project. That’s why we’re back.

First, the pages we already have

In 2024 we announced two wiki sections on this blog: the runes in September 2024 and the gods in October 2024. Both posts called what we’d published a basic description. That was fair then, and it’s still true. A lot of the wiki stays at a high level, without the details a curious reader wants.

So for now we’re holding off on new pages. We’re going back through what’s already there, page by page. Where the text is thin, we’ll add detail. Where it makes a claim, we’ll add references to sources, so you can see where it comes from and check it yourself. Every existing page gets a second look, and we’ll improve it from every angle we can. So the wiki will change in place: a page you read before the pause may look different when you come back to it.

Gods and runes come first

Two sections sit at the top of the list, side by side:

They’re our two main goals for now. We don’t have a fixed roadmap, so we aren’t giving dates, and we aren’t saying which of the two will be finished first. The rest of what’s already on the site is on the list too.

Thanks for sticking with us. There’s a lot of work ahead, and we’re glad to be back at it. So stay tuned.
